Nelson Jazzfest

The Nelson Jazzfest runs from 2nd – 6th January 2018, with free gigs in cafes/bars around Nelson.

The main gig is the Founders Park Twilight Concert on Friday 5th Jan. The event starts at 4pm with the headline act – The Wellington Shake ‘Em On Downers taking the stage at 8pm.

Gate sales only $10, with under16 free. End the day in a beautiful setting with a great selection of ethnic food stalls along with some of New Zealand’s top musicians entertaining you.

Nelson Buskers Festival

Thu 1 & Fri 2 Feb, 11am – 2.30pm; Sat 3 Feb, 10.30am – 2pm

Nelson Buskers Festival brings street performers from around the world to our beautiful region for four days of action-packed shows.

Buskers from the USA, Canada, Romania, Australia and New Zealand will amaze with giant bubbles, magic, juggling, a special secret mission and even a bit of zany keep fit!

Trafalgar Street and Church Steps shows are family-friendly and free to attend, though bring some cash to show your appreciation for the amazing skills of these hard-working performers.

The Boathouse shows are R18 and ticketed. We dare you to sit at the front!

 Nelson opera in the Park 2018

Opera in the Park is back at Saxton with some of New Zealand’s finest opera and contemporary singers, alongside our national orchestra, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

With affordable ticket prices, this is a world-class event that everyone can enjoy.

The Nelson-Tasman region is New Zealand’s sole hop growing area – and has always been in the vanguard of the emerging NZ craft beer renaissance. Unlike ordinary beer festivals, all the beers available at MarchFest have been specially commissioned for the event and have never previously been tasted by the public.
